The Mini 2 SE vs Mini 2 debate is somewhat academic — the SE was designed specifically as an entry-level DJI drone, and the differences only matter for specific use cases. For 90% of recreational flying and social media content, the SE camera is excellent. I have seen Mini 2 SE footage mistaken for Mini 4 Pro footage after good editing. The camera is not the limiting factor at this price.
Save the $100 difference between Mini 2 SE and Mini 2, put it toward a spare battery and the Fly More bag. Three batteries is the real upgrade that transforms the experience.
